Once you are in the app, you can open the race you wish to assign a workout to
Click on "Device" at the bottom of the screen
Click "Add Workout"
From there you can assign a workout type, date and start time, distance in miles, as well as hours, minutes and seconds
Then click "Save"

From the home screen click on the clock icon at the bottom and click "Go"
This will immediately start the stop watch, so you can start logging your workout time.
Once you press stop, you will have an unassigned workout you then can place into one of your races.
